Frequently Asked Questions

An acronym is an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of a phrase. For example, NASA stands for "National Aeronautics and Space Administration." Unlike abbreviations, acronyms are usually pronounced as words (NASA, SCUBA, RADAR).
When enabled, common connecting words like "a," "an," "the," "and," "or," "but," "of," "in," "on," "at," "to," and "for" are excluded from the acronym. This is standard practice — NASA doesn't include "and" from its full name.
You enter an acronym and the tool generates possible word combinations where each letter is the first letter of a word. It uses a built-in word list to find real English words starting with each letter of your acronym.
