Start the key field with a # character, or click the "Add Comment" button. Comment rows render as # comment text in the output file, and the value field is ignored.

Values containing spaces are automatically wrapped in double quotes in the generated file. Most .env parsers (dotenv, python-dotenv, etc.) handle both quoted and unquoted values.
