QR codes can contain URLs, plain text, email addresses (mailto:), phone numbers (tel:), SMS messages (smsto:), Wi-Fi credentials (WIFI:S:name;T:WPA;P:password;;), vCard contacts, and any other text up to about 3000 characters.

Error correction allows QR codes to be scanned even when partially damaged or obscured. Higher levels add more redundancy: L=7% recovery, M=15%, Q=25%, H=30%. Use High for printed materials that might get dirty.

For on-screen display, 200-300px is fine. For printing, use 400-512px or higher. A QR code should be at least 2cm × 2cm when printed for reliable scanning from normal distances.

Static QR codes (like these) never expire — they always encode the same data. The QR code itself is permanent, though the URL or content it points to may change or become unavailable.
